year round lodging for the youth

My comment:

as Claude pointed out correctly, hostel is a certain type of housing.
The original context may specify the style and type of accomodation and then "housing", "lodging" or "hostel" can be used, If the context doesn't specify, I would use "lodging", "housing", or "accomodation" because they are broader terms.

yes it is and all the others you commented on. We are here to help the asker with our brainstorming and not for your insults. There is no need to put down anybody. By the way you don't know what the term "hostel" is but nobody jumped on you for it.

Nora - your suggestion didn't make sense. We are entitled to comment and this was not an insult - far from it. I have seen many nonsensical translations accepted as the best answer, which defeats the object rather. If comments are just taken as insults, what is the point of trying to help? I will contact Traduguide for more advice.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with a comment but the way you put them!! It would have been much nicer to write like " I'd rather use this or that"... or "I don't think this is right" ... This is not an exam that we have to pass. When you look at the suggestions nobody put "I am sure" at the answer, it is brainstorming and ideas and if the asker can get a good inspiration from any of the answers then our purpose is served. Anyways, a FRIENDLY comment or suggestion is always more effective. P.S. Just to defend my answer, I have seen this in print in tourist brochures and advertisements as I referenced it but again, it was never intended to be THE answer.

I would be very interested to see the tourist brochures which contain "year round lodging for the youth" as there is not a single google hit for this which doesn't surprise me. I am waiting for feedback from Traduguide on this one. I note that you are "quite sure" of this answer.

Yup, just like you when you wrote "cant see it being anything else" beside your answer. You asked Traduguide about the tone of the comments, right? Oh, and you were the one who commented to the same asker, that "doesn't she have a dictionary?" a few conges questions before... and someone took offense on that too. And are you looking for "brochures" with google??? In my notes , I wrote "print", and quite sure doesn't mean I'm 100%sure but this is not important. You missed the whole point of my previous comment: Our answers, including mine and yours may not be correct but my complaint was on the TONE of your comment

I have NEVER made the comment "Doesn't she have a dictionary?" and would welcome an apology. I wouldn't dream of being so rude. Please check that.

Ok, I am checking, it was a while ago though... In case of a mistake, apology will follow.
