I'd like to tell Jennifer that I have never met the French "médecin organicien". How can we translate a concept nobody has heard of before? The answer is as unusual as the question itself. The answer should simply be doctor or something like that

Yes, a medical doctor. Why use something nonsensical?

Just medical. Makes no sense with organic.

This is a comment about what Jennifer said. I have never heard of Médecin organicien; I perfectly understand that there is no verbatim translation into English. We've got some kind of neologism in French... so why not a corresponding English neologism!!! I do agree to the simplest medical doctor if we do not accept any sort of neologism, but médecin organicien is a French neologism, for sure!

"can be an organic physician who requests that the patient consults a psychiatrist.."

This has no meaning in English. It means a medical, rather than a psychiatric doctor I think.
