Does the sentence refer to "feed myself" because one cannot feed one's thirst, unless the sentence is referring to "feed ... my thirst for knowledge" for example? So I am not quite sure about the translation for "feed". Ideally, more info should be provided on the context and style of the sentence.

The reason I put "en" because "nourrir" is always accompanied by "de" and "en" acts like a pronoun. This is one of the trickiest bits in French when coming to translation from English. Another example is "s'en aller"; why does one use "en" in this case - simply because it indicates a movement from a location. Hope this helps. Another tricky word is "y" which replaces "`a".
