see link below for more discussions on Acquisition - if you go with a "direct@ (more verbatim) translation I would take Heike's suggestion. Personally I tend to shake off the shackles of the German wording. I think it communicates better in English (my suggestion - as an idea, word it, so it fits into your sentence)
