embrasure

My comment:

According to Webster's New World Dictionary (American English), an embrasure is an opening for a door or window, or in a door or window with the slides slanting outward to increase the angle of fire of a gun.

Other possible translations for this term are "holster," as used in Latin America, or "gunboat," in a nautical context.

According to Larousse, "gun port" is another possibility.

Hard to tell with the lack of context.

My references:

Webster's New World Dictionary (American englsih); Collins Robert Unabridged Spanish/Englsih Dictionary; Larousse's Unabridged Spanish/English Dictionary
