Language pair:

French > English

Subject:

Business / Marketing / Financial

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

fonds d’investissement actionnaires

Context:

Nos travaux ont permis aux fonds d’investissement actionnaires de mesurer leur risque,...

Keywords:

...de prendre les décisions appropriées dans un contexte difficile, et de négocier avec les banquiers prêteurs /// I don't get this term. I would guess "shareholder investment funds" but that doesn't seem to mean anything in English. Or is this "investment capital fund"? What do you think?

shareholders with capital to invest

My comment:

Since what follows appears to refer to people(taking decisions) rather than something inanimate("fonds"),this seems to make more sense.
