Angelika Inglis  See profile asked this question:

Language pair:

English > German

Subject:

Technical / Engineering

Level of diffculty:

Difficult / demanding

Word or term in question:

flared through (hose)

Context:

CPBF - convoluted bore, polypropylene braided, flared through

Keywords:

Ref. link: http://www.pharmaceutical-hose.com/ (picture towards the bottom); it means that the lining is "flared through" the flange to prevent any metal coming into contact with the medium. Just cannot think of a good way to express this in German in less than 10 words (it's been a VERY long week...)

My comment:

Poor Angelika :) ... I feel for you ... know EXACTLY how it feels with such a job, but you are coming through, I'm sure.

Based on your description I would say BESCHICHTET

Based on the different pictures, also the ones on the link below, could it not refer to GEFLOCHTEN (I know, once can say braided and all that) ... just a thought
