Barbara Cochran (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

Italian > English

Subject:

Other

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

giovanotto, venite giù con noialtri

Context:

"E voi, giovanotto, venite giù con noialtri?"...Avevo sulla punta deall lingua una...

Keywords:

...risposta che avrebbe alterato tutto il corso della mia vita. Volevo dirgli: "La villa è data a voi probabilmente in odio a me...." In the first case, it's Mussolini who's speaking after he has been gifted (by the second speaker, the protagonist, with the latter's aunt (who doesn't like the protagonist) with the villa where the protagonist spent so many years of his childhood and adolescence. Not clear about this, because on the previous context, the comment by Mussolini seems like a shot out of the blue. The "giovanotto" at this point is in his mid-twenties.
