...Roma un famoso pianista straniero, sarebbe stato simpatico da part sua se egli avesse offerto un ricevimento in suo onore. Il che avvenne. Il famoso pianista altri non era se non un cuoco di Liborio Marignoli vestito in tight. Lo scherzo andò bene fino al momento in cui il marchese Mereghi chiese all "pianista" di suonare qualcosa.

he was not really a pianist, as it later transpired when he was asked to play the piano-they should have expected that to happen, i.e. that he would be asked to play the piano for them
