My comment:
These answers are very much shots in the dark, but this might help as you have more context...

Thanks very much for taking a shot at this question, Amanda. I've never been attracted to or had any interest the game of poker, nor do have any friends or relatives who play it. There is a local radio talk show host who goes all the way from Cleveland, Ohio, to play poker in Sin City, AKA, Las Vegas. He talks about the game all of the time. But I can't stand to listen to his program because he's what some might call a guys' kind of guy, in his case, a macho man blowhard! LOL

I know absolutely nothing about it either, but I do know two people who have had their lives very badly affected by online gambling. The games in your text may have had consequences for some players, but now with the internet it's way too easy to blow your whole life away. So I'm pretty anti the whole scene!

I should have added that there's no way I'm going to call in to that guy's show to see if he would happen to have an idea about what it might refer to. The kind of guys I like to interact with are all, or have been, college professors, but my educated guess is that none of them would have a clue about the meaning of this expression, either!
