My comment:

"NELLA BUONA E NELLA CATTIVA SORTE" it's a very used idiomatic expression in the Italian language which is derived from Literature, used in every context/circumstance of everyday life, this is the best way to express what you need to translate because it sounds more natural to a native speaker who will still understand the meaning of your "nella buona fortuna e nella triste parabola discendente" reading it in the line: "nella buona e nella cattiva sorte". Also: note that "nella buona fortuna" is not said in Italian, although understandable... it sounds odd.
