Swabian = Schwäbisch en allemand et donc 'Souabe' en français.

La Souabe est une région du sud de l'Allemagne, à l'ouest de Munich. Ses habitants sont appelés les Souabes et ils parlent un espèce de dialecte régional : le souabe. Ex : à Ulm et à Augsburg, on parle le souabe.

I don't know the French for closely, strongly, but I can tell that the Swabs are a people who are strong headed and very difficult to please
