My comment:
Obviously, the whole sentenced is based on a metaphor using technological phrases, but it has nothing to do (I think) with air- conditionning and feed systems. But the plays on words cannot be traslated into English, I'm afraid. (The metaphor is extended with "nos édifices modernes").
