My comment:

En cherchant dans le dictionnaire je n'ai pas trouvé shut employé comme nom. Par contre, je pense que shuts porte à la fois sur doors et boot. Avant de laver l'extérieur de la voiture, il faut nettoyer la partie intérieure sur laquelle le coffre et les portières viennent s'encastrer.
