Carlos Pablo MIGUES-LABANCA, BSc.  See profile asked this question:

Language pair:

English > Spanish

Subject:

Sciences / Non-fiction books

Level of diffculty:

Difficult / demanding

Word or term in question:

all noxious poisons

Context:

Article on the many uses of amethysts to neutralize "all noxious poisons".

The phrase sounds too odd translated into Spanish. Isn't it a bit redundant in English?

Which poison is NOT noxious, if any ?? Thank you very much in advance for your help.

producto/sustancia nociva

My comment:

Yes, is redundant also in Spanish, although you can find some examples on the web.
You also can simply say "venenos".
