the first one can be found in a dictionary (eg The American Heritage ® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition)
"sleepies" - common in an informal conversation.

I think that would be it, more or less the same straightforward description. Although that depends on the context-crust often describes an illness like in "red, crusty eyes", or "eyes dripping with crust", or "the eyes that have crust around the rim"..
