Kate (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

French > English

Subject:

Other

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

m'a amené sur place

Context:

je n'ai pas trop de difficulté à le croire. [Il] m'a amené sur place.

Keywords:

this is a deposition, but I think this expression refers to the fact that this other person manipulated him...right? Otherwise I don't get what it means here (because literally, he brought him on site where then?) Any ideas on different meanings for this colloquially? thx in advance.

The answer of   See profile was rated best

He took/brought me there/to the spot.

My comment:

Yes, or "to the site".

sur place=there, on the spot
