Gee, really sorry you felt I was being arrogant, I thought was just stating a fact that you need to get more in touch with street lingo.
I know fairly well what the forums are for, translators helping each other out when they hit a rough spot. I just don't think it's cool to have folks do all your work for you, it's lazy and not what the forums are for either, not to mention that it fills up my e-mail inbox. ;)
And yes, EVERYONE has a different answer, translation is an art not a science. But some artists express themselves better than others, so make sure to measure by quality, not quantity.

When a single translator posts 20 or more questions from a single translation, it's obvious that the translator needs to get some dictionaries, take some language classes or go back to school. In my mind, these forums are for the stumper questions--regionalisms, words used in different ways than they are commonly used, unknown acronyms, etc. If a translator can't translate a text without asking dozens of questions, then the translator should probably turn down the job.
