My comment:

I think we need more of the sentence here Clive. It seems to relate to the space requirement for the prosthesis to be applied to the stump. Does that make any sense at all??? Also, I think that "rigidita" is "stength" in this context and not "rigidity", which is clearly the literal meaning.
