En espa�ol, "traumat�logo" es lo que en ingl�s, por lo menos en USA, se llama "orthopedic surgeon", que se especializa en la cirug�a de los huesos, articulaciones, ligamentos y m�sculos.

No es el "trauma surgeon", que se ocupa de un campo mucho m�s amplio de trauma de �rganos internos del abdomen, t�rax, cabeza (excepto neurocirug�a) y cuello, y lesiones vasculares de las extremidades.
