My comment:

To avoid any confusion with the apparatus known as a "TV set."

tv set (or even "set" in daily language)

My comment:

It is called "tv set" for television productions or "film set" for cinema. In daily language I've heard people saying only "set".

...to transport the set of a television show

My comment:

plateau de television = plateau de tournage = film set/movie set, except in this case it refers to Television programmes/shows

My comment:

A large sound stage is typically empty with lighting and all equipment bespoke to each project.

television set

My comment:

Not in the sense of the receiving apparatus, of course, but in the sense of the construction made to film a television show.

To avoid the possible confusion you mention, you could say "the set of the television show" or something to that effect.
