My comment:

IOL means (also) intraorcular lens in ophthalmological surgery invented already after world war 2.
A "good experience with pause" could mean the positive effect of the implantation of plastic lens into the eye bulb without secondary adverse effect.
The use of TIA as an abbreviation of "thank you in advance" is not a lucky thing as in medicine it means transitory ischaemic attack.

I think they meant "pose", not "pause".
Implantation and insertion are near synonyms, just as implantation and pose in French.
