Brenda Galván (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

English > Spanish

Subject:

Software / IT

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

He raised his profile

Context:

My fellow colleagues: I'm translating a dating site and there's no much

Keywords:

context, except an Excell file with short words and sentences. However, these are the following sentences for the next cells after this one I'm asking you for: "She raised her profile" ; "Upgrade to rise to the top of search results." ; "Your profile is in {number} place. Get a Search Upgrade to rise to the top of the search results". Do you think something like "Su perfil ha subido", "Su perfil se ha elevado", or "Su perfil se ha colocado a un perfil más alto" would work or is it too literal or out-of-context?

"Ha elevado su perfil"

My comment:

this will sound more in context with the document overall appearance, by using this translation the gender becomes generic, less confusing and more explicit

Hizo subir su perfil.

My comment:

Podría ser una alternativa. Tiene un sentido más activo que lo que propones.
