The expression means: I look like a rough, uneducated (simple) person. As somebody from the provinces, not from a big city.

People from big cities are supposed to be quick-witted. Thus, it can also mean: I look like a dummy.

pueblo refers to a very small country village here. so he looks like a stupid peasant

Yes, I'm aware that the word "pueblo" is sometimes translated as "country bumpkin". But I don't picture, in my mind a "country bumpkin" as all that associated with wearing glasses.
