Context:

A la iluminada de mi suegra Katy (la llamaba suegra aunque en verdad no lo era, mira que vida más triste) se le ocurrió levantarme a las seis de la mañana, después de mis noches de borrachera. Tenía una resaca qu no podía con el alma. Evidentemente, aquí empezó mi desgracia, ya que no estaba al máximo de mis capacidades físicas. Me despertó con un jarro de agua fría:
