Context:

No os enganéis. No era una buena persona. Más bien era una hija de puta de las que ya no quedan. Manipuladora y muy mala pécora. Un diablo de mujer.

The phrase son-of-a-bitch is often used, but i've never heard daughtre-of-a-bitch

Bear in mind that "puta" (whore) is considered a stronger insult because it's making reference to the person's mother (something 'untouchable' - almost holy- by Spanish standards), whereas a "bitch" (female dog) lacks 'sense' as an insult. For Spanish insults to be forceful enough, they normally refer to one of three things - the Virgin, the mother, or the wife.... Machismo at its highest!
