Context:

...volver a oler el perfume caro de la profesora de Matemáticas, subir las escaleras hacia la clase correspondiente, ir al librero por material escolar, pondrías tu nombre en las libretas y libros... En realidad, el inicio de los cursos académicos son muy circulares, nada que ne se sepa ya.

"Circular" in this context means: "repetitive", "the usual stuff"

The text seems badly written since the verb is in the plural whereas the subject is in the singular.
