500 gauges to monitor the water bodies (sources) supplying the lake and the lake (level)

My comment:

Could this be Lake Nubia, at the border with Egypt - a large lake on the Blue Nile into which many tributaries drain?

Acquisition of 500 scale elements for monitoring the water bodies of the rivers feeding the lake and the lake itself

My comment:

tide gauge : cf https://goecke.de/Products/Marking-material/Tide-gauges/

water level gauges : cf https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stream_gauge

limnimeter, limnometer: defined as "a sensitive form of tide gage for measuring variations of level in lakes"
