l’arrière-plan administratif du décor |
|
Context: |

My comment:
Arrière-plan du décor = envers du décor = what happens behind the scenes

I'm not sure the phrase "arrière-plan" refers to things being done behind the scene: the context is more neutral. I prefer CMD's translation (with all due respect).

I understand your reasoning, but then what is the point of adding "du décor"? Arrière-plan administratif would have been enough. I think adding "du décor" makes it mirror the expression "l'envers du décor". Also I think the proposed "setting of the scene" is highly ambiguous because "to set the scene" means "camper le décor".
