¿No tiene usted el diccionrio de la lengua española de la Real Academia Española?
Allí dice:

reo
Del lat. reus.
1. com. Persona que por haber cometido una culpa merece castigo.
2. com. Der. El demandado en juicio civil o criminal, a distinción del actor.

Sabiendo eso, puede hacer la traducción al ingles, ¿no?
