Word or term in question:

la personnalité idoine

Context:

I'm thinking "proper" or "right" or even "suitable", but I am not sure that captures the full meaning of "idoine", so I need other ideas. TIA (thanks in advance).

I agree. In this particular context, as I understand it ("idoine") is similar to nonpareil , perfect or unrivalled rather than suitable because suitable gives the idea of worthy, desirable or appropriate. There is a subtle difference for me. Source: Visual Thesaurus
