paternal power

My comment:

Under the Law of Adoption, paternal power simply refers to the power that the new father or head of family exercises over the children

parental authority

My comment:

In Wordscope/legal : http://www.wordscope.com/f2712/none/legal/traduction/francais/anglais/u/puissance_paternelle.htm :

"autorité paternelle [ puissance paternelle ]:

paternal authority [ authority of father | right of patria potestas | patria potestas ]"

but:

"détenteur de la puissance parentale | détenteur de la puissance paternelle:

person entitled to exercise parental authority"

DEFINITION, in short: in the past only the father had parental authority, not the mother. Nowadays, paternal authority has become parental authority.

See:

https://www.erudit.org/fr/revues/cd1/1974-v15-n4-cd3725/041993ar.pdf

paternal control

My comment:

The father & mother of the adopted child who, by default, the one who is in parental control at that moment in time in respect of the concerned child should consent to the adoption

parental usufruct

My comment:

cf https://law.justia.com/codes/louisiana/2009/cc/cc223.html
Art. 223. Parental usufruct on minor child's property
Parents have during marriage the enjoyment of the property of their children until their majority or emancipation.
This usufruct is nonalienable and exempt from seizure.

cf https://criminocorpus.org/fr/reperes/legislation/civil/premier/ix/1945-09-02/

(Art. 385)
Les charges de cette jouissance seront,
1° Celles auxquelles sont tenus les usufruitiers;
2° La nourriture, l’entretien et l’éducation des enfants selon leur fortune;
3° Le paiement des arrérages ou intérêts des capitaux;

NB: parental custody comprises the care for the person AND the property of this person

parental custody

My comment:

Not physical custody. I suppose you got confused because there is 'paternelle' which is 'paternel' not parental but Revervo gives both 'parental' and 'paternal' for 'paternelle': https://context.reverso.net/translation/french-english/jouissance+paternelle

parental enjoyment (of the child). We do not have enough context to help properly. Jouissance is really 'enjoyment'
